This palace was built in the 18th century by Maharaja AniZham Thirunal Matthanda Varma, the then ruler of Travancore. This is a rare specimen of Keralian Architecture of the 18th century. The rich colours and the designs will take you back in time. There is a mural of Gajendra Moksham, which depicts a mythological story about Lord Vishnu saving an elephant who was his devotee. The time to visit this place is from 9.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m. It is closed on national holidays and Mondays. 

Mary Forane Church
This church is the oldest catholic church in Kerala, dating back to 835 AD. The ancient stones engraved with Thaliyola in the 'Nanam Monam' will let you know about the art and architecture of the period. It attracts devotees from all over the world. 

Triveni floating market
This is a state-owned market and a perfect place for a day trip. Buy fruits, vegetables, stationeries, etc., while visiting this market. All the shops are boats floating in the waters. It is one of the best places to visit in Alleppey. But the local vegetables and other food supplies, go to your place and look for the best Karelian cuisine and cook and enjoy it. The timing of this market is 8 a.m to 6 p.m.
